Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed as several passengers staged a protest against the cancellation of the Jat Humsafar Express (22705) train scheduled to leave for Jammu Tawi at the Secunderabad railway station here on Wednesday.

The derailment affected the movement of several passenger and freight trains, causing significant delays and cancellations of several train services since Wednesday early hours.

Passengers at Secunderabad railway station who were frustrated at the sudden disruption and lack of timely updates, gathered on the platform to voice their concerns.

Many travelers, including those with reserved tickets, were left in lurch without alternative arrangements and expressed their dissatisfaction to the railway authorities.

They criticised the railway officials that there was no prior information or alert sent to them on the sudden cancellation of the train.

Meanwhile, railway officials spoke to the passengers and pacified them. They informed them about the untoward incident due to which they were forced to cancel trains.

Railway officials have been working to clear the tracks and restore normal operations, but the situation has highlighted the challenges of handling large-scale disruptions in railway services, particularly when caused by unexpected incidents like derailments.
