Patna:  A court in Patna on Monday granted bail to Roshan Anand in the high-profile coaching centre dispute case linked to Khan Sir. The decision came after multiple adjournments in the hearing, which had drawn widespread public attention in Bihar’s coaching and student community.

Roshan Anand had been accused in connection with an alleged attack and assault incident at Khan Sir Coaching Institute. According to allegations, he was accused of conspiring in the attack and instigating violence against a security guard posted at the coaching premises. Following the complaint, police arrested him and sent him to Beur Jail. After spending 12 days in judicial custody, Roshan Anand is now set to be released.

Reports indicate that after securing bail, he will travel directly to Saharsa to attend the last rites of his brother, Prince Yadav. During the hearing, senior lawyer Ramakant Sharma stated that both Roshan Anand and Khan Sir are educators and should focus on healthy academic competition rather than criminal confrontation.

According to Sharma, the court observed that even if the allegations mentioned in the FIR were accepted at face value, Roshan Anand was not directly involved in the actual incident captured on record. He further argued that while the FIR accused Roshan Anand of orchestrating the attack, it allegedly omitted the fact that gunshots were fired by security guards associated with Khan Sir’s coaching institute.

The controversy began after an attack allegedly took place at Khan Sir Coaching Institute on the night of June 2. Khan Sir accused Roshan Anand and associates of being behind the incident and alleged that firing had taken place during the attack. Police subsequently registered a case and arrested Roshan Anand. However, CCTV footage showed only physical assault and no visible gunfire during the initial altercation.

Days later, separate CCTV footage surfaced on social media allegedly showing security guards of Khan Sir opening fire. Based on this footage, police arrested two guards connected to the coaching institute. During interrogation, the guards reportedly claimed they fired shots on the instructions of Khan Sir.

Following these developments, the police registered a case against Khan Sir and initiated raids to arrest him. However, he allegedly remained absconding for several days. On June 9, a court in Patna granted relief to Khan Sir and stayed his arrest. Meanwhile, the case took another emotional turn after the body of Prince Yadav was recovered from a hotel room in Nepal under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.

Police in Nepal are currently investigating the incident and have reportedly detained one of Prince Yadav’s associates who was present with him at the time. His body has since been brought to his ancestral village, Dhamsena, in Saharsa, where the family is preparing for his final rites.

The incident has generated intense discussion across Bihar, particularly among students and coaching institutions, while legal proceedings related to the coaching dispute continue.
