Khammam: House site pattas distributed to around 25 poor families displaced by development works in Khammam.
The government has recently evicted people living in huts on the NSP canal bund at Ramachandraiah Nagar. Those displaced have approached Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar explaining their plight and seeking help.
Responding to their pleas, the Minister assured them to provide alternate house sites from the government. Then the minister directed the RDO to identify the deserving poor to give them house pattas.
To this end, 25 families have been allotted house sites near Khammam. Ajay Kumar handed over the pattas to the selected families at his camp office here on Friday. The beneficiaries thanked the Minister for his pro-poor initiative.
