Hyderabad: Jana Sena founder and actor Pawan Kalyan on Sunday cast his vote for Movie Artistes Association (MAA) polling being held at Jubilee Hills.
As the polling picked up pace, a steady stream of celebrities and movie artistes made their presence at the polling station set up at Jubilee Hills Public School. Voting that began at 8am will end by 2pm.
Speaking to the media, Pawan Kalyan said for the first time in all these years that the association is fighting a tough battle to elect its president.
He further said that personal allegations and accusations made from opposite panels would not create a divide in the Telugu film industry. Families of star Mohan Babu and Megastar Chiranjeevi would remain friends forever, he said. When asked whom he would extend support, he politely refused saying he doesn’t influence the members by expressing his intentions.
He added, “Artistes should set an example for young and aspiring actors who wish to join the film industry. Everything should have been solved amicably. It has always been a unanimous election, this year’s election has been tough,” he added.
