Amaravati: Jana Sena President and film actor Pawan Kalyan had made a laughing stock of himself by participating for just one-and-a-half minutes in a Sramadanam programme for laying a road, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu has observed. Referring to the comments of the film actor that he was ready to wage war against the YSR Congress Party government in the state, the minister, at a press conference, wondered what he would fight for.
“The Chief Minister had directed the officials to take up repairs to roads after the rainy season comes to close. He has earmarked Rs.2,200 crore for the purpose. Pawan Kalyan through his speeches is spreading hatred among different castes and communities. It is ridiculous to say that the government is suppressing Kapus. His frustration shows — that he was unable to become MLA even once in the past 12 years,” he
stated.
Kannababu noted that the actor was repeatedly referring to the fate of the ‘Kodikatti case’ in which there was an attempt on the life of Jaganmohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport, and the murder of his own paternal uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy. “Pawan Kalyan should be armed with proper information. People are aware that the CBI is investigating the Vivekananda Reddy murder case and the NIA probing the ‘Kodikatti’ case. Both the investigating agencies are under the Central government. He, as an ally of the BJP, should try to take it up with the Centre,” he said.
