Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat invoked the PD Act against a woman involved in a prostitution case.
The woman, Raziya Sultana alias Arshiya, a resident of Shaheen Nagar, was held for organizing prostitution and forcing young girls into the illegal activity. The Anti Human Trafficking Unit and Balapur police had arrested her in a joint operation and rescued two girls including a minor. On Wednesday, the Commissioner invoked PD Act against her. The orders were served on her at the Special Prison for Women Chanchalguda where she is presently lodged.
