Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar invoked the PD Act against Mohammed Salman, an alleged drug offender under the Nampally police station limits. The man, a resident of Banjara Hills, was arrested twice for peddling the mood-altering drug Mephedrone.
The police said he was selling it to youngsters and getting them addicted to substance abuse. The detention orders were served to him at the Central Prison, Chanchalguda where he is lodged.
In a separate case, the Commissioner invoked the PD Act against A Rohit Singh (21) of Raheempura in Mangalhat, who was involved in two cases of ganja smuggling. He was arrested by the Asifnagar and Mangalhat police in two cases of ganja smuggling. The order was served to him at the Central Prison, Chanchalguda.
