Adilabad: Police invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against a man for allegedly duping unemployed youth by promising jobs through his micro-credit finance agency in Utnoor mandal centre on Sunday night.
The accused, Jawade Krishna from Shankarguda village in Indervelli mandal, had already been apprehended for cheating 25 job aspirants. He allegedly collected Rs. 20,000 each from nearly 300 candidates on the pretext of offering employment in his agency. He was shifted to Cherlapalli Central Prison in Hyderabad.
Police said a case was registered against Krishna for cheating candidates not only from Adilabad but also from Kumram Bheem Asifabad district under the guise of providing jobs at his firm. Investigation is underway.
