Peddapalli: 20 sheep killed in stray dog attack

Peddapalli: Twenty sheep were killed in an attack by stray dogs in Mallial village of Kalvasrirampur mandal on Tuesday night.
According to villagers, shepherds had left the herds in agricultural fields and returned home for the night. A group of stray dogs attacked the sheep late in the night. Seventeen sheep belonged to Botuku Mahesh, while three were owned by Mudethula Sampath. The estimated value of the dead livestock is around Rs. 1 lakh.
The shepherds have urged the government to provide compensation for their loss.
