Peddapalli: A car caught fire at CSP plant near 7LP coal mine, Godavarikhani on Thursday night. A couple traveling in the car escaped from the incident without any harm as they got down from the vehicle after noticing smoke.

According to police, a resident of 8 incline colony, Godavarikhani, Madhusudhan Rao along with his wife was going to Godavarikhani. When they reached the CSP plant at around 10 pm, they noticed smoke emanating from the engine.

After noticing smoke, they immediately got down from the vehicle. Singareni officials deployed a water tanker and calmed down flames. Madhusudhan Rao is working as a pump operator in OCP-III.

Knowing about the incident, Godavarikhani two town police rushed to the spot and began investigation by registering the case.
