Peddapalli: Couple end life in Nagaram

Police reported that Bodige Shankar (50) and his wife Sujatha (45) were found hanging in their home around 5 pm. Neighbors discovered the couple and alerted authorities, who broke down the door and moved the bodies to the hospital. The couple, who had two daughters, were living alone as their daughters were married.

Peddapalli: A husband and wife died, allegedly by suicide in Nagaram of Manthani mandal on Monday evening.

According to the police, Bodige Shankar (50) and his wife Sujatha (45) hanged themselves in their home around 5 pm. Neighbours, who found the couple hanging, informed the police, who broke open the doors and shifted the bodies to hospital. The couple had two daughters, but were staying alone as the daughters were married off.


It is said that Sujatha, who was suffering from health problems, had decided to end her life. Unable to live without his wife, Shankar also decided to end his life, with both of them then taking the extreme step.
