Peddapalli train derailment: SCR restores rail traffic within 24 hours
South Central Railway officials restored rail traffic between Delhi and Chennai within 24 hours. At around 7.30 pm, a good train was successfully operated on a single track by completing repair works.

Peddapalli: South Central Railway officials restored rail traffic between Delhi and Chennai within 24 hours. At around 7.30 pm, a good train was successfully operated on a single track by completing repair works.
Rail traffic in the route was affected following the derailment of a goods train near Raghavapur-Kannala on Tuesday night.
In order to restore traffic, SCR officials have continued works on brisk note and completed the works of single track by 7.30 pm.
Officials had to struggle a lot to remove derailed wagons from tracks and it consumed much time. The works of wagones removal continued up to 2 pm. At around 3 pm, laying of new tracks was started.
Though the formation of two tracks (up and down) was completed by the evening, the works of signaling system and electricity, which were damaged badly, are continuing till in the evening. However, they were also completed by night.
The works of middle track wherein the derailed good train was moved were kept pending. SCR authorities have reportedly decided to take up middle track repair works later, it is learnt.
