Peddapalli: To help continue education for students, a TRS leader Nunswath Bhaskar Naik came up with an innovative idea and donated bicycles to Zilla Parishad High School, Perkapalli of Dharmaram mandal, Peddapalli.

Naik on Friday donated ten cycles to ZPHS for the convenience of the students. Bhaskar Naik, who has a habit of helping the poor and needy, responded to the state government’s call for philanthropists to extend support for the development of government schools as part of Mana Ooru – Mana Badi programme.

About 10 to 15 students from Lambadithanda B and Banjerupalli villages walk about 2 kilometres to reach ZPHS school every day. Knowing about the difficulties of students, Bhaskar Naik donated cycles. Bicycles would be kept in the school during holidays. School staff would provide cycles to students who come from long distances.

Handing over cycles to students in a programme held in school on Friday, Bhaskar Naik felt happy for distributing cycles to students. He has decided to arrange cycles for students with a concept that students should not stop education due to lack of facilities. Village Sarpanch Laxmi, school headmaster Damodar, teachers and ward members participated in the programme.
