Karimnagar: Former Minister E Peddireddy, who recently resigned from the BJP, has decided to join the TRS. He along with 2,000 followers will join the ruling party in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Telangana Bhavan on Friday.
Announcing this to media persons at Huzurabad on Thursday, Peddireddy slammed BJP leader Eatala Rajender for trying to provoke sentiments among the public with an eye on the by-poll. “Rajender, who did nothing for the constituency during his tenure, will do nothing if he is elected again,” he said.
Stating that Rajender was facing allegations of occupying temple lands, he wondered what the BJP would do if the allegations were proved right in the court.
Disappointed by the BJP leaders’ attitude, he left the party and decided to join TRS. Though he worked as in-charge of Dubbaka and Nagarjunasagar by-polls, he was not given any responsibility for Huzurabad election, he said.
