Hyderabad: Making light of AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s comments that the Centre was trying to turn Hyderabad into a Union Territory, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said there were no such plans. “Owaisi moved out of the House without even waiting for the reply from us. Leave alone Hyderabad, no city will be turned into UTs,” Kishan Reddy said here on Sunday.
At a meeting organised in connection with graduates MLC elections, the Union Minister claimed Hyderabad MLC constituency was BJP’s stronghold and would remain so. “People are aware about the secret pact between TRS and AIMIM and are favouring the BJP,” he said adding that the unholy alliance between these two parties will be taken to every nook and corner of the State.
Alleging that the TRS government was indulging in opportunistic politics, he said: “Suddenly, after seven years, measures are being taken to fill vacant teachers’ posts. This is being done only with an eye on MLC elections.”
