Suryapet: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao strongly asserted that the people of Telangana were eagerly awaiting the return of party president K. Chandrashekhar Rao as Chief Minister of the State.
Talking to the media in Thungathurthy as part of his tour in Suryapet district on Sunday, he said the leadership of Chandrashekhar Rao was the only solution to all the ills facing the State.
Highlighting widespread public sentiment in favour of the BRS chief, he said everyone across the State was longing to see KCR as Chief Minister once again.
“Only under Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership will Telangana regain its prosperity and peace,” he said, contrasting the decade-long BRS rule with the rule of the current Congress government.
Praising the previous regime for bringing peace and development to areas like Tungaturthi constituency. He said peace prevailed in Tungaturthi during the BRS rule.
“We worked for everyone’s happiness, filled the stomachs of the poor, and ensured water for farmers through projects like Kaleshwaram,” he said.
Pointing out that the ruling Congress was failing to implement its poll promises while resorting to “atrocities and misuse of power”, he cited recent incidents and held the Congress government responsible for the murder of party worker Mallaiah in Lingampally, the kidnapping and assault of a BRS sarpanch candidate’s husband in Yellamma Gudem village and vote manipulation in Nakrekal.
“Dreadful conditions prevail now. Congress leaders are perpetrating crimes and triggering chaos in areas like Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy’s constituency,” he added.
