Hyderabad: State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday said the people would elect only right candidates, who always work for their welfare and development, during the elections.
Responding to verdict given by voters in Huzurabad by-election, he said, “From the commencement of elections, we are saying that the BJP will win the elections and it happened,” he said.
He said the voters exercised their franchise under peaceful atmosphere with the help of BJP supporters. “I salute the people of Huzurabad for supporting BJP during the elections,” he said.
He complimented activists for striving for the party’s victory in the elections. “With this victory, we are now hoisting saffron flag in Huzurabad,” he said, adding that the people would support and recognize the parties which are working for their welfare and development.
After declaring results, a large number of leaders and activists turned up at the party State office in Nampally and exchanged greetings to each other. Festive atmosphere prevailed at the office since evening after the party candidate started getting comfortable lead during the counting.
Sanjay also spoke to senior party leaders after announcement of the results.
