Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao here on Saturday said the people would support the party and elect its candidate in Huzurabad by-election in spite of the two national parties – Congress and BJP hatching conspiracies and entering into a hidden deal to fight the election.

Speaking after reviewing the arrangements being made for the successful conduct of the party plenary at Hitex here on October 25, Rama Rao said the TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav would win the election with the support of the people in the constituency.

“Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy and BJP candidate Etala Rajender met as part of the hidden deal only,” he said. Rama Rao sought to know how former MP and Congress leader Konda Visveshwar Reddy asked to vote in support of the BJP candidate.

The TRS left no stone unturned in foiling the similar attempts made during the elections in Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Nagarjunsagar elections, he said, adding that Rajender is the joint candidate, who is contesting the election on behalf of BJP and Congress.

“If the two national parties deny it, I am ready to furnish the evidence,” Rama Rao said. He thanked the party leaders, who are making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the plenary, which will start at 11 am.

He asked the leaders and cadre to be present by 10 am at the plenary during which seven resolutions would be proposed. Rama Rao said passes would be given to the leaders and cadre by Saturday evening.

As many as 6,000 delegates were expected to attend the plenary.
