Personal driver of MCI was booked by the police on charges of stopping a private vehicle under the guise of inspection
Adilabad: The personal driver of a motor vehicle inspector was booked by the police on charges of stopping a private vehicle at an inter-state check post at Bhoraj village in Jainad mandal on Monday.
Police said that a case was registered against Yugandar, the personal driver of a MVI, for stopping a vehicle of a person under the guise of inspection at the check post and asking for documents of the vehicle. The person lodged a complaint with the police. Investigations were taken up.
DSP L Jeevan Reddy said no private person was authorized to intercept vehicles of the public at check posts and toll plazas. Stern action would be taken against violators of the law.
