Travelling with a pet might be tiresome as it requires complete concentration and sometimes some running around as well. To avoid such a mess, a dog owner booked an entire business class cabin of Air India flight for his pet to travel in luxury.
The dog boarded the Air India flight AI-671 between Mumbai to Chennai early on Wednesday morning.
Thinking about the possible fare for the feat? It is guessed that the owner would have spent more than Rs 2.5 lakh for the two-hour-long flight between the two cities – considering the fare for a business class seat on Air India Mumbai-Chennai flight is around Rs 20,000.
According to sources, the J-class cabin has 12 seats in the flight. Well, the dog must have been flying in luxury.
However, being the only Indian carrier that lets domestic pets in the passenger cabin, Air India has had several pets travelling in their business class. But this is probably the first time that an entire business class is booked for a pet.
Air India allows a maximum of two pets – which are seated in the last row of the booked class. Between June and September of last year, Air India flew 2,000 pets on its domestic flights.
