Move comes after former DCP P Radha Kishan Rao, the accused in the case, files anticipatory bail petition

Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman of Telangana High Court on Monday directed the State to file a counter in a matter pertaining to the anticipatory bail petition filed by former DCP P Radha Kishan Rao, accused in the alleged phone tapping case.

It may be recalled that Gadhagoni Chakradhar Goud alleged that BRS leader T Harish Rao, along with Radha Kishan Rao and others, had conspired to tap his phone with a motive to tarnish his image and reputation.

The petitioner was granted regular bail in the same proceedings and later he also filed a criminal petition seeking quashing of the same criminal proceedings wherein the Punjagutta police were directed not to arrest Rao till February 12.

Taking note of the anticipatory bail petition, the judge adjourned the matter to February 24.
