Picnic turns tragic; Hyderabad Intermediate student drowns in pond

Hyderabad: An Intermediate student drowned in a pond at Manasa Hills, Rajendranagar, on Sunday.

Mohd Imran (19), a resident of Jubilee Hills and pursuing Intermediate from a private college in the city, went to Manasa Hills for a picnic with some friends.

After reaching the spot, Imran entered into the water for a swim and drowned, said the police.

On information, the police reached the spot and, with the help of expert swimmers, retrieved the body from the pond. A case has been registered.
