Pierce Brosnan to feature in ‘Extraction 3’ alongside Chris Hemsworth

  Pierce Brosnan has joined Netflix’s Extraction 3, starring alongside Chris Hemsworth in the action franchise directed by Sam Hargrave. Idris Elba, Golshifteh Farahani and other cast members also return or join. Plot details remain under wraps as production continues 

Los Angeles: Actor Pierce Brosnan has turned the latest addition to “Extraction 3” and will feature alongside Chris Hemsworth in Netflix’s film.

The film is directed by Sam Hargrave and produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, and Hemsworth via AGBO and Wild State for Netflix.

It also features Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani in pivotal roles, according to the entertainment news outlet Deadline.

Brosnan had his acting debut in the 1979 television film “Murphy’s Stroke”. He got a breakthrough with the role of a con man and detective in the hit television series “Remington Steele”. The actor is also known for his role in “The Thomas Crown Affair”, among others.

Besides Brosnan, actors Don Lee, Joe Taslim, Chi Lewis-Parry and Siena Agudong will also feature in the film, according to the entertainment news outlet Deadline.

The plot details are kept under wraps.

The first film released in 2020 and revolved around Tyler Rake, a fearless black-market mercenary who goes on a deadly mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned crime lord. Another installment released in 2023 and followed Rake getting recruited for a dangerous mission to rescue his ex-wife’s sister, Ketevan, and her children from a brutal Georgian prison where they are held by her ruthless gangster.

Brosnan will next feature in “Cliffhanger”. The actor essays the role of R Cooper in the film.
