Sangareddy: The pilgrimage of a couple to Kumbh Mela turned tragic as three persons from Sangareddy died as they hit their car to a truck in a bid to avoid hitting a two-wheeler near Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night.

Zaheerabad Irrigation DEE Venkatrami Reddy (46), his wife Vilasini (40) and their driver Malla Reddy died on the spot.

While Venkatrami Reddy is a native of Mamidigi in Nyalkal mandal, driver Malla Reddy is a resident of Malgi. The efforts were on to get the dead bodies back to Sangareddy district.
