Hyderabad: Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with four different organisations for collaboration on various aspects.
Through virtual meetings on Thursday, Dr S Sudheer Kumar, Registrar, PJTSAU, signed the MoUs in the presence of Dr V Praveen Rao, the university’s Vice-Chancellor.
One MoU was signed by Swaroopa Glory, Director General, National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, to impart training to teachers on entrepreneurship and provide internship opportunities for students.
Another MoU was signed with the National Cooperative Development Corporation to train farmers on cooperative aspects of agriculture besides providing summer internships to the MBA (ABM) students of the university.
Yara Fertilisers, a Gurgaon-based company, signed the third MoU to promote areas of common interest such as balanced crop nutrition, de-carbonisation etc and was signed by the company’s Managing Director Sanjiv Kanwar.
The final MoU was signed by Tech Mahindra to work on issues related to agri-tech and allied sectors for sustainable development.
