PJTSAU’s BSc (Hons) Community Science admissions through EAMCET

Hyderabad: Starting from the academic year 2021-22, the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) will hold admissions into BSc (Hons) Community Science programme through the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS-EAMCET).
So far, only girls were eligible to take admission into the programme, while from this year, boys will also be eligible, PJTSAU registrar Dr. S Sudheer Kumar said in a press release on Friday.
Candidates seeking admission to BSc (Hons) Community Science programme must secure a rank in the TS EAMCET 2021. Based on the merit secured in the entrance test, admissions to both MPC and BiPC streams candidates would be given in the ratio of 50:50, he said.
The four-year course was converted to the BSc (Hons) Community Science as per the recommendations of the 5th dean committee. Earlier, it was called BSc Home Science and admissions were based on the merit obtained by students in intermediate optional subjects or equivalent courses, Dr. Kumar said.
The university’s academic council has decided to admit students into BSc (Hons) Community Science programme based on the merit obtained in the TS EAMCET from the academic year 2021-22. Students who secure a rank in the common entrance test must register as per a separate admission notification which would be issued by the PJTSAU after TS EAMCET result, he said.
