PM inaugurates Janaushadhi Kendra at Kacheguda railway station
A function was held at Kacheguda railway station to celebrate the opening of the Janaushadhi Kendra, attended by senior railway officials. In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to public welfare and national service, noting that Jan Aushadhi Kendras provide affordable medicines to citizens.

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras at 18 different locations across the nation including Kacheguda railway station here through remote video link on Wednesday.
Simultaneously, a function was held at Kacheguda railway station to mark the commencement of the Janaushadhi Kendra where all senior railway officials were present.
Addressing the nation Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment towards the welfare of the people and service of the nation. He mentioned that Jan Aushadhi Kendras offer medicines at low costs to the citizens.
The Prime Minister underlined the holistic approach adopted by the government with regard to health.
He outlined the focus areas of the government and said that the first focus area is prevention from diseases, secondly proper diagnosis of ailment, thirdly availability of free or low cost treatment and medicines, fourth to equip smaller towns with better medical facilities and fifth expansion of technology in the health sector.
At Kacheguda railway station, Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad in his address said that the Janaushadhi Kendras will help to enhance the wellness and welfare among all sections by providing quality medicines at affordable prices.
It will enable passengers and visitors at railway stations to easily access Janaushadhi products, he said.
Kacheguda Railway station is one of the major stations with a passenger footfall of around 47,000 every day. Nearly 100 trains originate and terminate at this station.
