PM Modi to inaugurate redeveloped Hitec City Rly Station on July 17

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped Hitec City Railway Station in Hyderabad on July 17 via video conference. The Rs 26 crore project includes modern facilities aimed at improving commuter convenience in the IT corridor.

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped Hitec City Railway Station through a video conference on July 17.

The station has been modernised at a cost of Rs 26 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

South Central Railway (SCR) officials said the upgraded station features a 12-metre foot overbridge, additional lifts, escalators, improved passenger signage, a revamped façade and a new portico. The redevelopment is aimed at enhancing commuter convenience in the city’s IT corridor.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, SCR Chief Public Relations Officer A Sridhar said 40 railway stations in Telangana are being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at a cost of over Rs 2,000 crore, with the Hitec City station being among the latest to be completed.
