Khammam: The Modi government’s seven year rule at the Centre resulted in lowest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and highest unemployment in the country, stated Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
Telangana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) witnessed a record growth of Rs. 11,54,860 crore and Telangana has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. This reveals the stark contrast between functioning of governments at the Centre and in Telangana, he said. In a statement here on Wednesday Ajay Kumar hailed the statement made in the State Assembly by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on to fill up as many as 91,142 job vacancies in Telangana as a testament to the efficiency of TRS government’s administration.
The minister thanked the Chief Minister for his decision to release the job notifications and come up with a job calendar in the days to come. With the measures taken by the TRS government, the unemployment rate in the state was declining rapidly, he said.
On the contrary the Modi government’s rule was marred by an unpalatable national unemployment rate of 6.57 per cent. The highest unemployment was in BJP-ruled Haryana which was 23.4 per cent, followed by Rajasthan at 18.9 per cent, Ajay Kumar explained.
Denomination of currency, faulty GST regime and mishandling of Covid crisis by the Centre have made the lives of poor and middle class people miserable. Due to this, unemployment has increased in the country but Prime Minister Modi has failed to address the issue.
Ajay Kumar complained that the privatisation of public sector assets in the name of nationalism and patriotism in defiance of the country’s sovereignty was the hallmark of the Modi government, which was at the forefront in promoting nepotism and corruption. Modi promised to provide 2.5 crore jobs a year, bring back Rs 75 lakh crore of black money in foreign banks to India and deposit Rs 15 lakh in each citizen’s account and it turned out to be a hoax, the minister ridiculed.
Ambani and Adani’s assets have quadrupled in BJP rule while 25 crore people became poor while in Telangana wealth of the public was increasing with job creation as investments in the manufacturing and construction sectors were pouring into the state, Ajay Kumar explained.
