POCSO case filed against youth for allegedly marrying minor girl in Kothagudem
A youth was booked under the POCSO Act in Telangana's Kothagudem district for allegedly taking away and marrying a minor girl studying at a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. Police registered the case based on her father's complaint and launched an investigation.
Kothagudem: A POCSO case has been registered against a youth at Burgampad police station in the district for marrying a minor girl.
The girl pursuing her intermediate second year at Burgampad Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya was said to have gone missing on Wednesday.
The accused youth, Eshwar of Kalyanapuram in Aswapuram mandal took the minor girl away and married her.
Based on the complaint by the girl’s father, Burgampad police registered a POCSO case against the youth on Thursday and initiated an investigation into the incident.
