Police arrest youngster for raping minor girl in Mahabubabad
district on Saturday.
Mahabubabad: Marripeda police arrested a youngster on Sunday in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl. The arrested has been identified as Dharamsoth Rajesh (22), son of Mangilal, of Thanda Dharmaram village of Marripeda mandal. He was taken into custody at Yellarigudem stage on Sunday.
The minor girl was found dead in the hillocks near Sitaram Thanda of Marripeda mandal in the district on Saturday. Her parents alleged that she had been raped and murdered by unidentified persons. Following the complaint lodged by her patents, the police registered a case and arrested him Rajesh.
Presenting him before the media here on Sunday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Nandyala Koti Reddy said that Rajesh had taken the girl to the secluded place in the Mondikatta Gutta (hillocks) on the outskirts of Sitaram thanda as they had ‘intimate relationship’ for the last three months. “But he tried to ‘rape’ though she resisted him after she suffered injury to her head. Though she was bleeding, he ‘raped’ girl and caused her death,” he added. While the deceased was studying inter second year, the accused is studying degree third year.
