Sangareddy: To mark Police Commemoration Day, the Sangareddy, Siddipet and Medak police organised various programmes in their respective headquarters on Thursday.
In the Sangareddy district, Sangareddy Police invited the family members of martyrs to parade grounds where they were felicitated. While offering tributes to the martyrs, the members of the Martyr’s family members turned emotional.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Ramana Kumar said that four police personnel lost their lives in terrorist or anti-social elements attacks in Sangareddy district.
Recalling his men services during the Covid-19, the SP said four police personnel died of Covid-19 while many were infected with the virus during the last one and half years while discharging their duties.
In Siddipet district, Commissioner of Police D Joel Davis, Additional Collector Muzammil Khan and others paid tributes at the Police Martyr’s memorial. The Commissioner said that as many as eight personnel died in various incidents in Siddipet district.
In Medak district, Additional Collector Prathima Singh and Additional Superintendent of Police Krishna Murthy participated and paid tributes. They interacted with the family members of police personnel to know their issues.
