Police check vehicles of Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar

Karimnagar: Police intensified vehicle checking in Huzurabad constituency limits on Tuesday. Vehicles proceeding towards Huzurabad town as well as those moving in other parts of the constituency were also checked thoroughly.

Vehicles of Ministers including T Harish Rao and Gangula Kamalakar were also checked near Singapur on the outskirts of Huzurabad town. To check transportation of money by political parties and candidates, the district election authorities have set up check posts in different areas of the constituency.

Police on Tuesday seized Rs 10.40 lakh during vehicle checks held in different places of Jammikunta mandal. While Rs 5 lakh was seized at Gandhi Chowk in Jammikunta town, Rs 4 lakh was recovered from a vehicle in Mothukulagudem. Another Rs 1.40 lakh was seized near the railway overbridge, Jammikunta.
