Police conduct searches at social media activist Nalla Balu’s house in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A team from Karimnagar police carried out searches at the house of social media activist Sasidhar alias Nalla Balu in Hyderabad on Friday.
Sasidhar, who has been quite active on social media with his critical posts questioning the Congress government’s failure to deliver its electoral promises, was arrested by the Karimnagar police from his house on June 30 midnight, in connection with the case booked by them.
As per available information, in connection with the case, a police team conducted searches in his house to gather more evidence and seize any incriminating material.
The arrest of Sasidhar was termed a blatant attack on democratic rights by activists, who alleged that the police treated him like a criminal for questioning the Congress government’s failure to deliver its promises.
It may be noted that tension prevailed at the time of Sasidhar’s arrest as tens of police personnel allegedly barged into his house at midnight and arrested him as if he was a hardened criminal.
