Jayashankar Bhupalpally: A police officer on patrol duty was killed and two other private employees injured critically when their police vehicle rammed into a truck near Gandhinagar on the National Highway on Sunday. While the accident took place early in the morning on Sunday, the police officer Assistant Sub-Inspector police succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday. The other two injured were also rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment and their condition was stated to be critical.
Police said the ASI B Harilal, aged around 54 years, was working in Regonda police station. He along with police checkpost employee Mohd Omar and jeep driver Ashok wer on patrol duty. Their jeep rammed into a truck as there was low visibility due to fog, around 4 a.m. ASI Harilal was, a native of Nallabelli in the district, but was living in Shiva Nagar in Warangal city.
