Adilabad: As part of community outreach, police organised a health camp and distributed 2,000 blankets for the convenience of tribals dwelling in 12 remote villages in Echoda and Sirikonda mandals at Sirichelma village on Saturday. Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam was the chief guest for the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Alam advised the tribals to shun bad habits. He asked them not to consume banned ganja, which would spoil the health and careers of their children.

He urged them to eradicate the menace. Asking the tribals to utilise health camps being organised by the police, the SP praised doctors for extending medical services and members of the Rotary Club for sponsoring the blankets.

Around 15 doctors, belonging to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad, took part in the camp and rendered services. About 600 tribals availed the services and thanked the police for organising the noble programme.

They were given medicines free of cost. They were fed and provided the transportation facility as well. Utnoor ASP Kajal, former Utnoor DSP Ch Nagender, Cyber Crime DSP Hasibullah, Echoda Inspector Bheemesh, Sub-Inspector Tirupathi, Sis Srikanth and Mahender, Rotary club members Anitha, Chaitra, Phaninder and elders of tribal communities were present.
