Kothagudem: A free mega medical camp was organised for adivasis living at Adivaramavaram of Allapalli mandal in the district on Tuesday.

Superintendent of Police, B Rohith Raju along with additional SP (Operations) T Sai Manohar and Yellandu DSP Chandrabhanu reached the interior village on motorbikes to take part in the programme.

The SP stated that the district police would always support the adivasis who have migrated to the district from Chhattisgarh state and as part of that a mega medical camp was organised. Medical checkups were conducted and free medicines were distributed to the villagers.

Later, Rohith Raju distributed blankets, solar lights and essential items to the people of the village with the help of Pranic Healing Foundation and Gundala Police. The officials joined a community meal organised for 120 villagers who attended the medical camp.

The police department was working in coordination with the officials of other departments for the development of the migrant adivasis living in the remote agency areas of the district. The problems being faced by the villagers would be taken to the notice of district administration and the government to resolve them, he assured.

The SP wanted the youth and children of the village to get better education; get jobs and lead a better life. He asked the villagers to inform police if any unknown persons enter the village and not to provide any assistance to the Maoists who were engaged in anti-social activities.

Rohith Raju appreciated Gundala CI Ravinder, Tekulapally CI Suresh, SIs Rajamouli, Ratheesh, Srikanth and the police personnel who organised the programme. He thanked the medical team led by Dr. Sanghamitra and Dr. Sudeep and Pranic Healing Foundation Sondu Pasha for their support.
