Police register cases against BRS MLAs on Assembly issue

Hyderabad: The Saifabad police have registered cases against BRS working president K T Rama Rao and MLAs T Harish Rao, Sudheer Reddy and others on charges of allegedly misbehaving with police personnel and using abusive language during a standoff after the leaders were allegedly stopped by police while entering the Legislative Assembly on Monday.
According to police, the cases were registered based on video footage allegedly showing the legislators and others arguing with police personnel and behaving in an unruly manner.
The police are examining the footage and other evidence available as part of the investigation.
Officials said further action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
