Nizamabad: Nizamabad taskforce police seized a large quantity of prohibited foreign cigarettes and zarda and took two persons into police custody at one town police station limits of Nizamabad city. Nizamabad one town police conducted raids on various Kirana shops and godowns at Gunj area on Thursday and seized nearly Rs 8 lakh worth cigarettes and zarda. Police arrested Mohammed Rafiq and Mohammed Shafi in this connection on charges of selling imported cigarettes and different types of prohibited zarda products.
