Police tighten security ahead of K.T. Rama Rao’s SIT questioning
Security was stepped up at Jubilee Hills Police Station and Telangana Bhavan ahead of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s questioning by the SIT in the phone-tapping case. The move comes amid pre-emptive arrests of BRS leaders and students.

Hyderabad: The police made elaborate arrangements at Jubilee Hills Police Station ahead of the questioning of BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao in the phone tapping case here on Friday.
He has been summoned by the Special Investigation Team to appear at 11 am, following notices issued under Section 160 of the CrPC.
The interrogation will be conducted by Joint CP Vijay Kumar and ACP Venkatagiri, who are part of the team led by City Police Commissioner V.C.Sajjannar.
Police had erected barricades around the station and deployed local and special forces to prevent any law and order issues.
Meanwhile, tensions rose after police carried out pre-emptive arrests of several BRS leaders and Osmania University students. Some students were reportedly detained from their hostels during late-night operations. BRSV secretary Jangaiah was also taken into custody.
Security has been tightened not only at Jubilee Hills Police Station but also near Telangana Bhavan, as authorities brace for possible protests during the high-profile inquiry.
