Police to produce Bandi Sanjay in Karimnagar District Court

Sanjay Kumar was arrested on Sunday night for starting a 'Jagarana Deeksha' violating Covid norms.

Karimnagar: BJP State president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who has been booked under Disaster Management Act, violating Covid norms, attacking police and other sections, will be produced before the Karimnagar District Court on Monday.

Sanjay Kumar was arrested on Sunday night for starting a ‘Jagarana Deeksha’ violating Covid norms. He sought to go on the deeksha demanding that the State government make changes to GO 317 and do justice to teachers and employees.

Following strict orders from State and Central governments issued in the wake of fast spread of Omicron variant, police refused permission for the deeksha, and arrested Sanjay when he tried to undertake the deeksha violating instructions.

He was shifted to Manakondur police station in the night, and brought to police training centre here on Monday morning.
