Policeman’s wife kills infant daughter and dies by suicide in Mancherial
In Rendlapalli village, Mancherial, Chetpalli Spandana (25) killed her infant daughter by throwing her into a well and later ended her own life. Police are investigating the reason behind the murder-cum-suicide. Both were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Mancherial: A policeman’s wife died by suicide after killing her infant daughter by throwing her into a well in Rendlapalli village of Jannaram mandal on Friday. The police are yet to ascertain the reason for the murder-cum-suicide.
Police said Chetpalli Spandana (25), wife of a constable, first threw her daughter into the well and jumped in later. Her family members retrieved Spandana and her child from the well and shifted them to a hospital. Doctors declared that both the woman and her daughter were brought dead.
Spandana’s husband, Shravan, works with Telangana State Special Police 13th Battalion, Gudipet in Hajipur mandal.
