Siddipet: Accusing Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan of carrying out the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) agenda, BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar demanded that he apologise to the people of Telangana before holding the “Nava Nirmana” meeting in Hyderabad.
Stating that Pawan was a paid actor in real life as well, the Minister said that he would act according to the payments he received from the BJP. Prabhakar asked him to do whatever he wanted in Andhra Pradesh, but said he had no role in matters concerning Telangana.
He said Pawan was trying to disturb peace in Telangana at the behest of the BJP on the occasion of the State Formation Day. Showing an old video of Pawan in which he stated that he had stopped eating for eleven days when Telangana was created, Prabhakar said that Pawan had no moral right to speak about Telangana and its people since he had also acted against the interests of the State.
Showing another video in which Pawan stated that the evil eye of Telangana people had damaged coconut plantations in the Konaseema region, he said that Pawan had proved time and again that he was against Telangana and its people.
Appealing to the people of Telangana to stay away from attending Pawan’s meeting, the BC Welfare Minister said that it would be a humiliation to Telangana if any individual from the State attended his meeting. “Why is Pawan not organising such meetings in Gujarat and other States?” he questioned.
