Actor Allari Naresh cast his vote at the polling booth in Jubilee Hills as part of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) on Sunday.
Speaking to media persons, the actor appealed to both the rival contestants in fray, Manchu Vishna and Prakash Raj, to implement all the welfare programmes that they had mentioned in their election manifesto.
Earlier, actor Poonam Kaur arrived at the polling booth to cast her vote. While coming out of the polling booth, the actor appealed to the contenders not to harass movie artistes for political mileage. She said mainstream politics should not be mixed with the MAA association.
The voting is expected to end by 2pm. The 900-member association will elect its president and other members for various positions. The counting shall begin at 4pm today.
