Hyderabad: Noted Telugu lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry passed away here on Tuesday afternoon. According to a bulletin issued by KIMS Hospital, he died of lung cancer related complications.

Sastry was admitted to KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, on November 24 with pneumonia and was put on ECMO to support his lungs in ICU and was under close observation, the bulletin said.
