Pothole ridden roads reflects Cong’s ignorance of development: Harish Rao

Siddipet: Former minister T Harish Rao said development and welfare activities had come to a halt after the Congress came to power in Telangana.

Addressing a gathering after distributing Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques worth Rs 65.60 lakh to 286 beneficiaries in Siddipet on Sunday, Harish Rao said the pothole-ridden roads in the town reflected the Congress government’s alleged neglect of development in the State.

He accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of shifting the already sanctioned Shilparamam and Veterinary College projects out of Siddipet.

Accusing the Congress government of ignoring farmers, Rao said it had failed to provide 24-hour power supply, resulting in crops drying up.

Highlighting what he described as the government’s failure to provide basic facilities at government hospitals, he said patients were unable to find even medicines at the hospitals now.

Rao also alleged that the Congress government had neglected to fill the reservoirs under the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). He said Ranganayaka Sagar did not have enough water to meet irrigation and drinking water requirements.
