Hyderabad: Complaints of power cuts and other issues continued to pour in from different areas in the city on the State Formation Day on Tuesday. Many residents fumed at the Energy Department for failing to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the State Formation Day.
“Surprising on the Telangana Formation Day too there is power cut in Manikonda. Other people are discussing progress but here we are having power cuts,” Vaidheeswaran.venkat, an X user posted.
Frequency of power cuts increased in recent days in Aravind Nagar Colony, Tolichowki. Area people are suffering due to frequent and unnoticed short time power cuts during the day and night, complained Manideep on X.
He also appealed to TGSPSCL to take necessary steps in improving service quality in the area.
Similarly, Adam Banqash from Secunderabad complained that one phase was not working in the Gunrock area. He urged TGSPDCL to restore the power supply ASAP.
“There is no electricity in Bhavanipuram colony, Ashoknagar for more than 90 minutes. Too many power cuts in a day. Morning, afternoon, evening and midnight. Are we in Hyderabad or any rural area?” asked Srikanth Venkat on X.
A few consumers complained about exorbitant bills being issued to them.
Pankaj Sharma, domestic connection consumer from Dammaiguda, was issued a bill of Rs.6,438 for 1006 units consumption in 61 days.
A few residents complained about the delay in obtaining a new power connection. And, a few others fumed at defunct customer care numbers.
“The customer care number is not working. The entire power Ministry is failed what a common man can expect from this office and its Minister,” Kiran Kumar said on X.
Another consumer Rahul said “Its been four hours since we lost the power. Called to toll free and they gave a number, which is always switched off and this has become a routine throughout this summer without any proper information shared,”
“Nice work TGSPDCL for bringing back the bad old days from 2013-14,” he commented sarcastically.
