Hyderabad: Looks like Prabhas’s much-awaited movie ‘Radhe Shyam’ might get postponed. According to the reports that surfaced in the media, the romantic period drama will be postponed inordinately following the Omicron scare prevailing across the country.
The film, starring Pooja Hegde and Prabhas in the lead roles, is slated to release on January 14 this year. The rise in the number of Covid cases in various States of Maharashtra, Delhi, and West Bengal, among other States, is making the producers worry.
SS Rajamouli has already announced that his magnum opus ‘RRR’ is backing out from the race without even announcing a further release date. Amidst the uncertainty looming large at the box office, ‘Radhe Shyam’ makers might take a decision soon on its release date. It’s no surprise if other pan-India films that are slated for release this month and in February also follow suit.
The film, which is directed by Radha Krishna, is being co-produced by the production house T Series. ‘Radhe Shyam’ has already entered into the phase of promotions and it has already released a few songs from the movie on digital platforms which have instantly caught the attention of music lovers. A few trade analysts are of the opinion that ‘Radhe Shyam’ is eyeing the Hindi market, and it could be suicidal for the makers if they go ahead with the current release date.
