Hyderabad: Commenting on Pawan Kalyan’s latest remarks on the film industry, actor Prakash Raj on Monday hinted that a collective action would be taken to address the problems soon after a proper outcome following the Power Star’s speech.
Actor Prakash Raj along with his panel members ‘Maa Biddalu’ on Monday filed nomination papers for the MAA (Movie Artistes Association) polls that are slated to be held on October 10 in Hyderabad. Prakash along with his members submitted the papers to election official Krishna Mohan.
Speaking on the occasion, Prakash Raj said that his team would be in the forefront for every cause in the film industry. Stating that no political intervention is required in the MAA polls, the actor appealed to the film fraternity to ensure elections are held in a democratic process without giving room for abusive behaviour. The actor said he was disturbed by character artiste Pruthviraj’s remarks on MAA polls and said Chiranjeevi’s blessings will be given to everyone who is contesting the polls. MAA Election Manifesto will be released on October 3, he added.
Jeevitha Rajasekhar, who is vying for the post of MAA General Secretary from Prakash Raj’s panel, said it’s not necessary to have the support of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Manchu Vishnu’s panel could also get the support from the Mega family. She said the elections should be held in a peaceful and cordial manner without any disturbances.
Meanwhile, actor-lawyer CVL Narasimha Rao too submitted nomination papers to the election official.
