One of the busy stars in south Indian film industry, Prakash Raj has recently responded to the controversy surrounding the film ‘Jai Bhim’ in which his character (police officer) slaps a person who replies to him in Hindi. Starring Suriya in the lead role, ‘Jai Bhim’ depicts the real story of lawyer-High Court Chief Justice Chandru who strove for the oppressed people in Tamil Nadu during the ’90s.
Actor Prakash Raj downplayed the controversy stoked on Twitter and wondered how viewers couldn’t feel the injustice meted out to tribal people and able to see the slap.
